Converting WAV to mp3 And More
I recently converted a bunch of songs from big old .WAV files to mp3’s and added in Song Meta Data to the tracks for the album release of Portraits by Hannah Rose Platt (available as a CD and download from hannahroseplatt.com/store) and I felt that it was a valuable service to musicians and bands that I could offer.
Masters And Big File Sizes
When you get the finished version of your tracks back from the Mastering process they will likely come as a .WAV file or something else that is a Lossless Format and by that token they’ll likely be pretty huge in terms of file size; I can covert them for you to manageable sized .mp3 files and return them to you ready for you to upload and manage through your own site and other channels.
What Is Song Meta Data?
It’s things like the Album Name, Artist, Genre, Cover Art, Website, Writer Credits (very good for cover versions) and Tracking Codes (ISRC: I think that itunes automatically creates one for you when you submit music to them) for sales monitoring and reporting.
These are things you can get by without but if they’re in your mp3’s when people download them they display better in their mp3 players and music catalogue apps like iTunes and make it easier for royalty tracking agencies to monitor any airtime or plays they may get as well as recording sales.
If you’d be interested in taking advantage of this service then please let me know. It won’t be too expensive and if you provide the required information (as outlined below) then it should be a pretty quick process.
Below are the basic things that I need from you in order to make your tracks more mp3 player and Webstore friendly:
- Song Title
- Artist Name
- Album Title
- Release Date
- Catalogue Number (if there is one)
- ISRC number (if there is one)
- Cover Art Work/Image
- Website Address
To be totally honest and fair these are things that you can do yourself but if you don’t want to spend a few hours looking for the software and all of the information that you need to do this then I can help 🙂
All of this for just £25.00
